I’ve been tagged to list 6 quirky things about myself, by Andrea of Tender Loving Lair. In return I’m tagging Beth of Unskinny Boppy.
1. I’m really no good at making lists. I usually skip some, or quit halfway through.
2. I have an inner streak that loves hard rock, perverted jokes, swear words and gothic trends.
3. Dragons are pretty much my favorite animals, they’re known for their magical abilities.
4. I really hate being called by my full first name. Only teachers and strangers call me Janice. My friends call me Jan. Or janny. Or jannypanties. Which I secretly love.
5. Perhaps I should design a line of panties and call them jannypanties.
6. Oh look, I made it to the end!

If you haven’t heard yet about “Nie” here is something worth your time. Fellow blogger Stephanie (Nie) and her husband Christian are a young couple with 4 children, who were severely injured in a plane crash on the 17th. The second pilot of the small private plane was killed in the crash. Stephanie and Christian are in the hospital for serious injuries and burn care.
A massive internet/blog movement has been organize largely by her sister, cjanerun, to show support and raise funds to help the family.
Another blogger, designmom, organized a massive “Nie Nie Day” for Aug 28th (sorry I’m a day late posting about it, I was out for medical testing). There is a massive internet wide silent auction currently being hosted by over 300(!!) bloggers. The auctions will run for varying lengths of time.
If you have time, PLEASE hop on over to designmom to check out the MASSIVE list of things being auctioned, everything from a signed guitar from Maroon 5 to stationery to home decor, truly it spans almost all types of items.

I personally am offering a free full blog design on Kids~Stuff~World to participate in the fundraiser. I get none of the proceeds, they are all being donated to the foundation. The current bid is $35!! Please take a moment to look and cast a bid, it is for a good cause!

This vanilla-scented guy is a blue triangle, from the audiobook “Infected” by Scott Sigler. I am a huge Sigler addict (a junkie to Silgerism, as he calls it) and love his novels “Ancestor” and “Earthcore” in addition to “Infected”. In the story, these triangles start as spores that drift in the air and get into your skin. They then send shoots into your body to draw nutrients, and form a blue triangle with three eyes on the surface of your skin. Oh, and they can talk to you in your head. And tell you to kill people. Awesome.
