green apple scented sore throats
People with strep throat are funny. Their voices get all squeaky and raspy. And they look all miserable. It’s fun to ask them questions and then watch them painfully respond. Strep throat is actually called
Streptococcal pharyngitis, and has bacterial and viral causes. Doctors will usually culture the infection to determine which, before prescribing antibiotics. If untreated it can be lethal, so don’t laugh too hard at your friends who have it, or they’ll breathe on you and tie you down.

Steph Strep is named after two of my other favorite friends. They are both named Steph. Sorry for double dipping on the name!
Scented Science © can be heated in microwave for 15 sec.
Use caution: plastic eyes and parts may be hot.

cookie scented germ warfare
she’s even posing on a blanket. get it?
Smallpox is cause by two viruses: Variola major, and Variola minor. Variola minor is jealous of Variola major, which got the cooler name and kills more people. True story- both viruses are named from the Greek word varius, which means pimple. And it was first called Smallpox to differentiate it from the great pox, syphilis. With a history like that, its obvious why nobody likes to get smallpox. Nobody likes syphilis or pimples.Plus it kills people. Enjoy!

Sam smallpox is named after one of my best girlfriends!

lavender scented aromatherapy for the common cold
Rhinovirus is the most usual cause of the common cold. It is spread through aerosolizing (coughing, sneezing) or contaminated surfaces. It binds to the upper respiratory tract within 15 minutes of contact, and incubates to illness in 8-10 hours. That’s fast. Even people with healthy immune systems can catch the cold several times a year. Or, if you’re me, it just sticks around all winter.

Ryan Rhinovirus is named after my husband. And those stars are even glow in the dark. How awesome is that??
