Kathryn's cottage industry in body painting

The phoenix from the ashes with wings of flame and light

Here are photos of our booth at ComFest. Most of you know what this means to me, being at ComFest with the things that I have created with my hands and my time, things that have been trapped inside of me for so very long. It feels as though the girl inside me that I always felt but didn’t see in the mirror finally got her time on the stage, and the immensity of the support from the hundreds of people walking through our booth this weekend gave her wings. It was such an honor and a pleasure to have the chance to share with my beloved Columbus the way I see her, full of community and beauty and potential. And it was an even greater honor to meet so many dozens of people who feel the same way.

Endless “Thank you’s” to Karla and Kathryn for making this possible, from covering my sales while I was running around, to drawing in customers and talking up my work to them, to just plain being wonderful company. You put up with me for three days and didn’t kill me, low blood sugar grouchies and all, and we laughed the whole time at Kathryn painting boobies, getting caught in the rain and hiding under the pot tree (instead of inside our tent), and Karla oversharing all our secrets. ;) Love you

And also a million hugs and thanks to everyone everyone who stopped by and said “Hello”, I’m tagging you in this photo also because you all should know how much I appreciated seeing your smiling faces during the happiest time of my year.

Most of all my gratitude goes to the people of Columbus, whose genuine reactions of appreciation and support said more to me in that one moment when you first saw my designs than I could ever have dared to hope. I am an introverted gal but I had no problem standing in our tent and talking to you about Columbus and these designs. YOU are why I love this city. YOU are what make is a place to be proud of, to enjoy, to call home. THANK YOU!

Messages to my customers:
All of the credit card orders have been run through via ProPay, so you should see them on your statements from Jan Dennison / Indiefinable. Thank you!

I will be working on listing these items in my Etsy store at jannypie.etsy.com this weekend. Until everything is up and running, feel free to shoot me an email with any requests and I will be happy to work with you one-on-one! Jan at indiefinable@gmail.com

Oh, and did I mention, that COMFEST F’N ROCKED!?!?!?!
